Combine classic styling, sturdy cast iron construction, state-of-the-art features and efficiency, and you have a wood stove that can't be beat! Three sizes are available (small, medium and large) to suit any heating need.
Large glass front doors allow for maximum viewing and an optional convection air blower augments the superior radiant heating ability of cast iron construction to deliver heat throughout your home.

I have the smallest Dutchwest stove to heat my outbuilding. It is a bit undersized for the job but the price was right at the time. I have been considering buying this blower for a while but stayed away because the cost was about the same as I paid for the stove. I finally bit the bullet and bought it and wished I had sooner.
It significantly improves the heating and comfort of my shop. It appears to be a high quality motor and should last (time will tell as it is in a dusty environment). The motor and fan is well balance, however, the sound of the air moving is loud. The low setting is not bad but the high is noticeable.
I run it on high until the shop is warm then switch to low. This is by far the best combustor I have used to date.I own an XL Dutchwest by Vermont Castings that sees 5-7 cords a year, depending on temperature and length of season.
It has a fairly large firebox for a 6' cat.so it tends to be hard on converters. This cat lights off @ 400`f as advertised and comes up to light off much more quickly than ceramic combustors.likely faster than the cat thermometer can react! As any catalytic stove owner knows, new combustors are always awesome for a while.I hope this one will outlast the ceramics because I really like the performance of this unit. I wanted this fan to move air around from behind my 1980's era woodstove to help disperse heat throughout my family room, and I wanted it to be quiet, and have an automatic on/off. I am pleased.

I installed the fan last night. Prior to installation, I plugged the fan into a wall outlet to test the noise level to ensure it was acceptable, and it was. No rattles or unusual noises. Although the wiring diagrams and labels on the wires themselves were not completely clear, the installation beneath and behind my woodstove was straightforward. Installation took less than 30 minutes. I really like the magnetic, automatic 'on @ 120F/off @ 90F' heat switch.
I may choose to move the switch to a different location on my woodstove in the future, so it's magnetic property is really helpful. I plan to keep the fan rheostat.
